Stainless Steel BIAB Filter with False Bottom 13" and 15" - SALE

Stainless Steel BIAB Filter with False Bottom. COFI

 https://www.brew-boss.com/Brewing-Filter-Clearance-p/filter-cofi-ncit.htm

The BEST DEAL we've ever offered! We received a shipment of stainless steel mesh brewing filters for BIAB that were missing the infusion tubes that we use for our patented COFI mash system. These filters work great for brew-in-a-bag (BIAB) brewing without the hassle of using mesh bags.

We have these in two sizes, 13" diameter and 15" diameter.

The 13" is $65 and the 15" is $85.

Really, not kidding, this low cost is the cost of 3 mesh bags but will last for 100's of batches and much easier to use.

This is a clearance/closeout item. You will not find a lower price on brewing filters of these sizes. We received these without center infusion tubes, so we are selling them at a deep discount without the center infusion tubes. Our loss is your fortune!

Make sure to select the size you want in the options!

If you fabricate your own center infusion tube, you can enjoy the benefits of our patented (Patent Number US10400200B1) COFI (Center out forced infusion) filter system. Or, you can use these as simple BIAB (Brew in a bag) filter in your kettle instead of using a mesh bag.

They are fabricated from stainless steel with very sturdy fabrication.

This item includes the Filter Body, Cover, Locking Handle (doubles as lift handle), and False BottomIt DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CENTER INFUSION TUBE!

The center infusion tube which is a tube that has multiple holes drilled to distribute the mash water into the center of the grain bed during mashing (see photo diagram of the concept). There are 1/2" Male Pipe Threads on both ends, one end threads into the false bottom and the other end is used to attach a lifting ring that when lifted causes the false bottom to squeeze the remaining liquid out of the grains. If you want to make your own, the 15 gallon filter version tube is 13 inches long and the 20 gallon filter needs to be 15 inches long.

BREW-BOSS COFI MASH INFUSION FILTER FOR 15 GALLON KETTLE

BREW-BOSS COFI MASH INFUSION FILTER FOR 15 GALLON KETTLE

Center

The Brew-Boss #COFI filter is an exciting technology that optimizes the efficiency of Brew-In-A-Bag (#BIAB) type brewing. The filter is manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel mesh which holds the grain during the mash process, but allows water to flow through. The filter is 13 inches in diameter x 13.5 inches high. The support legs allow the filter to sit above the heating element and are 2-1/2 inches tall. This brings the total height of the unit to 16 inches. The 90 degree barbed elbow at the top adds another 1-1/2 inches, for a total overall height of this filter with the barbed fitting installed of 17.5 inches. Make certain your kettle is tall enough to contain this filter with the cover on. The filter can hold approximately 20 pounds of crushed grain. This amount depends on the crush and the grain.

This item is provided for brewers to add to their existing (Brew-Boss or other Manufacturer) breweries and includes the following items:

  • Mesh basket with 2.5" long feet to clear heating element.
  • Mesh Cover with Stainless Steel Clamps and Handle
  • Center Infusion Tube
  • False Bottom with Threaded Infusion Tube Mount
  • Stainless Elbow Fitting for Top of Infusion Tube
  • Stainless Lift Ring Adapter
  • Type C Camlock Female Fitting
  • 12" Silicone Brewery Grade Tubing
A central infusion tube, that is perforated with a series of flow-matched holes, extends all the way to the bottom of the filter.
During the mash cycle, water is continuously pumped from the bottom of the kettle to the top of the filter, into the central infusion tube, where it is forced through the grain bed. Water passing through the grain bed flows out of the filter to the bottom of the kettle. This Center Out Forced Infusion (COFI) technology assures that all the grain is in constant contact with the mash water and that there are no dead spots. No stirring is required as the system is self agitating and efficiency is thereby optimized. The COFI filter is also very easy to clean, simply invert it in a sink and spray it with your sprayer! Because it is made of stainless steel, it will not rust and will last indefinitely.

The central infusion tube is also connected to a false bottom. After mashing is completed, the elbow fitting at the top of the COFI filter is exchanged with a lifting ring. When removing the filter, the filter is lifted by the lift ring. This brings the false bottom towards the fixed cover, allowing the weight of the filter to squeeze the grain. This squeezing action extracts much of the trapped sweet wort from the grain.

Brew Boss COFI Filter

Brew-Boss is the only system available that includes a NEW patent pending technology we call the COFI filter. COFI is an acronym for

Center
Out
Forced
Infusion

The Brew-Boss COFI filter is an exciting new patent pending technology that optimizes the efficiency of Brew-In-A-Bag (BIAB) type brewing. The filter is manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel mesh which holds the grain during the mash process, but allows water to flow through.

A central infusion tube, that is perforated with a series of flow-matched holes, extends all the way to the bottom of the filter.

During the mash cycle, water/wort is continuously pumped from the bottom of the kettle to the top of the filter, into the central infusion tube, where it is forced through the grain bed.
